While Hemsworth cut ties with Cyrus immediately after the breakup and the singer moved on to five-month relationship with Patrick Schwarzenegger, the two have reportedly managed to salvage their friendship and still keep in contact with each other.
As for getting back out into the dating scene, Hemsworth isn't really focused on that aspect of his life right now.
Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus make their way back to their car on Sunday afternoon (July 16) in Malibu, Calif.
The 24-year-old entertainer tried to keep a low profile while hiding behind her sweatshirt while her Aussie fiance showed off his growing beard as they stepped out for the afternoon.
“I always hated the word ’bisexual,’ because that’s even putting me in a box,” Cyrus said, revealing her first relationship in life “was with a chick.” “My whole life, I didn’t understand my own gender and my own sexuality,” she added, recalling how she always hated “being a girl” yet “being a boy didn’t sound fun” either.
It wasn’t until she visited the Los Angeles LGBTQ center and listened to the stories of other queer people that she realized not identifying as anything in particular was an identity in itself.
(She later changed her name to "Miley," the nickname she was given as a baby for often smiling.) Cyrus grew up on the family farm, near Nashville, Tennessee, with two siblings and three half-siblings.
