Holder of a licence should complete on the class of aeroplanes held: (a) within the period of validity (24 months) of the rating, have flown as pilot: CAA / JAA / EASA Revalidation of Single Engine Piston Rating A revalidation may only be used for a class rating which has not expired.
The revalidation can be done by Skills Test or by logbook demonstration of experience.
If you are unsure which aircraft is for you, please feel free to contact our ops staff or pop in for a visit and we can help advise you on which aircraft would be most suitable for you.
It is possible to complete all your flight training within a matter of weeks; but we generally suggest (allowing suitable time for bad weather and aircraft availability) learning to fly over the course of a year.
Leading our aviation insurance team is Peter Matcham, a qualified pilot with over 23 years flying experience.
He is extremely experienced in aviation matters having first learnt to fly at the age of fifteen.
Flying has always played a major part in Peter’s family as his father was an instructor who owned a small fleet of aircraft and his grandparents flew in the RAF, one achieving the rank of Air Vice Marshall.
