Our new 65-channel GPS-NX02 receiver works with the Astro-Physics GTO, Celestron Nex Star, Nex Star , Star Sense, Losmandy Gemini, Meade 497/497EP Autostar, Audiostar, LX200 Classic, Autostar II, Orion Atlas/Sirius Go To, Sky-Watcher Syn Scan and Vixen Star Books (see telescope models).Imagine if your telescope could access the Global Positioning System so that it always knew when and where you were observing from.
When running Sky Fi from an external power source, it may become quite warm.
This is normal; Sky Fi doesn't use any more power than the 6V supplied by the internal battery pack, and it is simply dissipating the extra power as heat.
Once a location fix is obtained the handset will beep, display the results and skip ahead to the "Align:" prompt. Celestron Nex Star, Nex Star and Star Sense controlled telescopes are manufactured by Celestron and include the models listed below.
Star GPS-NX requires a Nex Star (firmware version 2.3, 104.0 or 4.0 as displayed using the hand control “Utilities: Version” menu item), a Nex Star or a Star Sense hand control with RS232 port (will not work with newer handsets that have a USB port).
